Senior FP&A Manager - San Francisco, CA - SOMA District
An AI healthcare company in the heart of the SOMA District is seeking a Senior FP&A Manager to shape and lead their entire finance function.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a highly visible role where you'll partner directly with executive leadership, own enterprise-wide financial planning, and help guide critical business and capital allocation decisions. What You'll DoThe Senior FP&A Manager will lead financial planning, forecasting, and strategic analysis across the organization while serving as a trusted advisor to the Head of Finance and executive leadership team.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Own the company's end-to-end financial forecasting process, including monthly, quarterly, and annual planning
- Develop and maintain forecasts across revenue, operating expenses, headcount, cash flow, and capital planning
- Deliver insightful variance analyses and actionable recommendations to leadership
Strategic Business Partnership
- Partner closely with leaders across Go-to-Market, R&D, and G&A to evaluate investment decisions and operational performance
- Provide financial guidance on strategic initiatives, hiring plans, product investments, and growth opportunities
- Translate complex financial data into compelling narratives that drive executive decisions
- Prepare executive dashboards, monthly operating reviews, board presentations, and investor reporting materials
Financial Systems & Process Improvement
- Lead the implementation and ongoing optimization of enterprise planning platforms such as Pigment, Anaplan, or similar solutions
- Design scalable financial model architecture and planning processes to support rapid company growth
- Improve reporting automation, forecasting accuracy, and operational efficiency
- Drive P&L ownership including gross margin improvement and scenario modeling
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, management consulting, or corporate finance
- 3+ years supporting finance within a high-growth SaaS or technology company
- 1+ year of people management experience leading or mentoring financial analysts
- Demonstrated experience building complex, driver-based financial models from the ground up
- Strong understanding of SaaS financial metrics including CAC & LTV, Net Revenue Retention (NRR), Unit Economics, and ARR/MRR forecasting
- Experience presenting financial analyses to executive leadership, investors, or Board members
- Deep understanding of GAAP and non-GAAP financial reporting
- Experience in AI, healthcare technology, or high-growth venture-backed companies helpful but not required
