Major duties include managing assigned account base of sophisticated wealth management clients, leading client conversations for goals driven wealth management and holistic advice, maintaining extensive knowledge of various NT resources, focused client service with responsiveness, diplomacy and tact, building and maintaining extensive knowledge of NT fiduciary standards and practices, cultivating relationships with referral sources and external professional advisors, traveling to meet with clients where appropriate, teaching and mentoring less experienced partners, seeking continued development of fiduciary and advisory skills, using sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions, and being eligible to serve as LRM for all relationships.

Knowledge required includes extensive knowledge of fiduciary and financial products and services, specific experience with fiduciary accounts and issues, extensive knowledge of fiduciary standards, principles, and applicable laws and regulations, skills in negotiating, problem solving, delegating, leadership, and sales, leadership and organizational skills, and interpreting internal/external business challenges and recommending best practices.

Experience required includes college or university degree &/or relevant proven work experience, JD or similar credential strongly preferred, and 12-15 years' experience as a relationship manager or attorney in trust administration, estate administration, estate planning, or related fields.

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
