Phlebotomist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Inpatient Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will:

* Draw blood samples from patients (fingers, heels, or veins) using aseptic techniques.

* Ensure accurate collection of the correct type and amount of specimen.

* Document all requests and accurately release lab work results.

* Notify physicians promptly of released lab results.

* Manage appropriate routing, handling, and processing of various medical specimens.

* Order, distribute, and maintain stock of supplies as needed.

* Train and provide performance feedback for other lab assistants.

* Handle a daily patient load of 60-80 individuals with efficiency and care.

* Proficient in blood draws and sample collection techniques.

* Familiarity with outpatient and inpatient phlebotomy practices.

Qualifications

* At least 1 year of professional phlebotomy experience.

* Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive patient experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
