Job Title: Spa Massage Therapist

Salary: $60 - $70/hr, average between base pay/commission/gratuities

Status: Part Time

Shift: Days, Swings

Other Compensation: Hourly rate + tips + 25% service commission + 10% sales commission on any product sold.

The Monarch Spa has openings for part‑time or on‑call massage therapists.

Responsibilities
  • The Massage Therapist will perform Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Prenatal Massage, and Body Wraps – plus several specialized treatments unique to Spa Monarch.
  • Adhering to appointments in a timely manner by monitoring the time schedule.
  • Welcoming clients in a warm, friendly manner, accompanying them to and from treatment rooms, and thanking them sincerely on departure.
  • Engaging and conversing with clients during sessions on topics relating to their interests.
  • Maintaining product knowledge to promote and sell spa and salon services, and retail products.
  • Caring for linens and replacing them between sessions.
  • Ceasing treatment and informing the supervisor in the event of inappropriate guest behavior.
  • Maintaining the organization of all treatment areas.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of prior experience serving in a spa/salon facility. Preferably experience in a high‑end spa/salon.
  • Proficient in performing all applicable treatments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding people skills and a warm, friendly manner.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
  • Experience in advanced massage techniques and demonstrated ability to learn new massage techniques.
  • Must be currently licensed by the Colorado State Board of Massage Therapists.
