Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (3 shifts per week), shared evening and weekend call

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality radiographic and CT imaging exams across modalities to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment
  • Position patients safely and compassionately to obtain optimal images while maintaining dignity and comfort
  • Operate and monitor imaging equipment, ensuring safety and reporting any issues promptly
  • Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records in compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations and equipment failures
  • Participate in CQI efforts and follow departmental policies to continuously improve patient care
  • Assist with patient scheduling, phone triage, and coordination with medical staff
  • Share call and weekend coverage equitably with colleagues and support a smooth department workflow
Qualifications
  • Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) licensure required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • ARRT certification preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited radiology program with an Associate of Science degree
  • Experience in at least two imaging modalities preferred
  • Acute care experience preferred; freestanding diagnostic imaging facility experience may substitute
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, strong verbal and written communication skills
Education
  • Associate of Science Degree from an accredited Radiology Program (required)
Knowledge & Skills
  • Proficient in radiography and CT imaging techniques and image acquisition
  • Strong patient positioning skills and commitment to radiation safety
  • Knowledge of equipment safety, maintenance awareness, and ability to troubleshoot
  • Understanding of federal and state regulatory compliance for diagnostic imaging
  • Excellent patient care skills across the lifespan, including assessing behavior and safety needs
  • Ability to prioritize, organize supplies/equipment, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Team collaboration, emergency response, and effective communication
