Position Overview
Responsible for the timely, accurate, and efficient retrieval, preparation, scanning, and indexing of hospital and physician practice medical records into the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Processes incoming documents received through electronic fax queues, including appropriate routing, releasing of orders, and filing of results in accordance with established workflows and regulatory standards. Provides responsive and professional customer service by answering incoming telephone calls and assisting internal and external customers with inquiries related to medical records and document processing.

Education/ExperienceMinimum
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
- One (1) year previous experience in a clerical position. Previous experience with imaging equipment preferred (scanners).
