Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)
Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to perform a broad range of laboratory tests that support the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. The CLS will analyze biological specimens, validate and report test results, maintain laboratory quality standards, and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements while delivering accurate and timely laboratory services.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, or related field required

Clinical laboratory experience preferred

Active Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license in the state of practice (where required)

ASCP or equivalent national certification preferred

Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, quality assurance, and safety standards

Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing on biological specimens using established laboratory procedures.

Analyze, validate, document, and accurately report laboratory test results.

Collect, process, label, handle, and prepare specimens while maintaining specimen integrity.

Perform and document quality control procedures to ensure reliable and accurate test results.

Operate, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.

Prioritize laboratory testing based on clinical urgency and physician orders.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, laboratory safety standards, infection prevention, and regulatory requirements.

Monitor laboratory inventory and assist with ordering reagents, controls, and supplies.

Document laboratory activities, quality improvement initiatives, and report adverse events as required.

Train and provide guidance to laboratory assistants, students, and new staff members.

Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to communicate critical results and support quality patient care.
