POSITION OVERVIEWWe are seeking an experienced Senior Pharmacist for an 8-week travel assignment ena, California. This is an Epic backfill/EPIC conversion position requiring recent hands‑on experience with both Epic and Cerner within the last five years. Candidates must have successfully worked with these EMR systems either as a permanent employee or while completing a travel contract.
This is an Auto Offer position with a firm start date
. No Request for Time Off (RTO) will be accepted.
- Current Pharmacist License in the state of California.
- Recent Epic and Cerner experience within the last 5 years
. - Epic and Cerner experience must have been obtained while employed or on a successfully completed contract.
- Resume must clearly list the charting/EMR system used for each position
. - If multiple EMR systems were used at one employer,
specific dates must be provided for each system. - Hospital pharmacy experience.
- Ability to work night shifts
. - No Request for Time Off (RTO).
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy (Required).
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred).
- Two years of technical pharmacy experience.
- Two years of clinical pharmacist experience in a regulatory specialty.
- One year of hospital pharmacy experience.
The Senior Pharmacist is responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care while maintaining compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Compound, prepare, mix, manufacture, and dispense medications accurately.
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and usage of medications.
- Apply critical thinking to evaluate medication therapies.
- Maintain departmental quality and regulatory standards.
- Translate pharmacy policies and procedures into daily clinical practice.
- Supervise, train, and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff.
- Oversee technical pharmacy operations and workflow.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to optimize patient care.
