Speech Language Pathologist SLP PRN

PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Flexible Schedule | Up to $70/hr

Greenridge Post-Acute & Senior Living is seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our growing rehab team. This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP who values flexibility, strong team collaboration, and the ability to make a daily difference in patients' lives.

Position Summary:

Facilitates the treatment of speech and language disorders following an assessment process that evaluates patient histories and identifies the causes for speech defects, devising effective therapy plans in association with other healthcare professionals, tracking patient progress, maintaining comprehensive treatment records, and adjusting treatment plans as needed in accordance with all company policies and local, state and federal laws.

Qualifications:

  • Current state license in Speech and Language Pathology
  • CPR/BLS certifications
  • Outstanding communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Ability to lead by example and remain calm and professional in all work-related situations

Responsibilities:

  • Compassionately assess, diagnoses and treats speech, language, communication and swallowing disorders
  • Continually reviews treatment results and adjusts treatment programs to ensure optimal results for patients/residents
  • Organizes, updates and concisely documents patient charts, daily progress notes, summaries, monthly reports and other required paperwork as needed
  • Supports and instructs patient/family in techniques, adapting behaviors for better communication outcomes
  • Follows all facility safety and other policies keeping updated on regulations governing the industry and profession
  • Participates in inter-departmental meetings and facility operations
  • Communicates patient status and needs to those involved with care maintaining confidentially when required in accordance with HIPAA
  • Develops plans and provides treatments consistent with benefit and reimbursement levels for best functional outcome following physician orders
  • Educates staff, other health care professionals and third-party payer on the benefits and functional outcomes of therapy interventions
