Location: Templeton
$2350.08/week -
Job Summary:
Performs diagnostic echocardiography procedures to produce detailed images of the heart for assessing cardiac function and aiding in diagnosis. Collaborates closely with cardiologists to ensure accurate imaging and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate ultrasound equipment, attaching electrodes and preparing patients for imaging.
- Position patients appropriately and apply gels to facilitate optimal image capture.
- Conduct echocardiography procedures, including treadmill tests, to evaluate heart performance.
- Document cardiac data, measurements, and image findings accurately into the system.
- Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment routinely to ensure optimal performance.
- Educate and instruct patients on the procedure process and post-exam care.
Qualifications:
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; certification may be required for specific roles.
- Be currently certified, or eligible, as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from ARDMS or CCI.
- Possess echocardiography (ECG) certification; CPR or BLS certification preferred.
- Have at least two years of recent experience in echocardiography or ultrasound imaging.
- Maintain current BLS certification and a valid nursing license per state requirements.
- Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems.
