Adventist Health seeks a Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist to oversee day-shift lab operations, ensuring accurate, timely diagnostic testing that supports whole-person care. You will perform and validate complex assays, troubleshoot instruments, monitor quality control, and maintain regulatory compliance (CLIA, CAP, JC). The lead will coordinate workflow, mentor staff, assist with scheduling and training, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to interpret and communicate results.

Responsibilities
- Perform and validate complex diagnostic laboratory tests across multiple disciplines
- Oversee day-shift workflow, prioritize specimens, and ensure turnaround times are met
- Monitor and document quality control, proficiency testing, and corrective actions
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, and hospital policies
- Lead, mentor, and train clinical laboratory staff and new team members
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to clarify orders and discuss test limitations
- Assist with scheduling, workload distribution, and inventory management
- Support implementation of new tests, processes, and instrumentation
- Promote a mission-driven, safe, and inclusive laboratory environment
