Behavioral Health Therapist I/II

In addition to providing individual and group therapy, you'll support crisis interventions, assist with hospitalizations, and help clients in psychiatric emergencies. Under the direction of a Clinical Program Manager, this position will provide Specialty Mental Health Services to clients who are struggling with mental health and substance use issues. These services will include assessment, therapy, rehabilitation, case management, plan development, and crisis services. The position will work collaboratively within our treatment team(s) and may serve a variety of client populations including youth, families, adults, justice-involved, unhoused, LPS, FSP, and Wraparound.

This position will receive weekly supervision in the form of 1 hour of individual supervision and 2 hours of group supervision.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:

Therapist I:

Under the direction of the Behavioral Health Director or designee, reports to and receives direction from the Clinical Program Manager and may receive technical and functional supervision from the Therapist III.

Therapist II:

Under the direction of the Behavioral Health Director or designee, reports to and receives direction from the Clinical Program Manager.

Experience:

None.

Training:
Students currently enrolled in an accredited Master's degree program in psychology, social work, marriage and family counseling, or a closely related field, as well as non-licensed Ph.D. or PsyD students, qualify only if they have entered the required field practicum portion of their academic program. Students must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and will be required to provide information about their academic program and practicum start and end dates.

Licensing or

Certifications:

Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California driver's license.

Option 2:

Experience:

Required practicum experience in a Master's program.

Training: A Master's degree in psychology, social work, marriage and family counseling, or a related field from an accredited college or university, which provides the educational basis for licensing to provide psychotherapy in the State of California.

Certifications:
