Front Desk Receptionist

Specialty Surgical Center of Westlake Village is hiring a Front Desk Receptionist.

Specialty Surgical Center of Westlake was designed with one purpose in mind: to serve patients undergoing surgery without the inconvenient overnight stay that hospitals require. Every procedure is performed in a comfortable, safe environment using the most technically advanced surgical equipment available.

Job Summary:

The Receptionist interfaces with patients and families, physicians, vendors and staff;
Admit patients and process their paperwork;
Update patient demographics/information in system;
Collect balances due and document in the billing system;
Handle funds per office procedure. Answer incoming phone calls. Assist with chart prep and other business office duties necessary. Coordinating with office on scheduling for procedures and anesthesia coverage. May be asked to float to other locations for staff coverage. MUST be reliable, dedicated, personable, professional and have a strong attention to detail.

Pay Range:

$25.00 - $28.00/hour

Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an employee’s qualifications and experience.

Required Skills:

Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • One year previous experience or some health care clerical experience or medical terminology preferred.
  • Must have the skills necessary to operate office equipment that are required to fulfill job duties.
  • Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial.
  • Good communication skills.
