Overview
Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist) travel assignment in Templeton, California. Start date 09/14/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay $1,901–$2,025 per week with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift pattern is 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) in a short-term acute-care hospital setting.

Short-term acute-care hospital travel assignment
- Assess and document the appropriateness of prescribed respiratory therapy and administer therapy per physician orders and department policy.
- Administer aerosol and oxygen therapy; monitor patient response; document in electronic medical records and prepare charges as required.
- Provide care to adult and geriatric patients, including those on ventilation; assist with ventilation management and patient monitoring.
- Draw arterial blood gases per policy and physician orders; maintain accurate flow sheets and records.
- Assist in department operations, including training and supervising new staff; support nursing colleagues in surveillance of patients and equipment.
- Communicate recommendations and patient progress to the care team; contribute to treatment plans and pulmonary progress notes.
- Education:
Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program. - Licenses/Certifications:
NBRC-RRT or NBRC-CRT;
Basic Life Support (BLS) from an approved vendor per AH policy;
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); ACLS and PALS required at time of hire or within 90 days; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS; AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS;
Facility-specific: BLS, NRP, ACLS, PALS per AH policy. - Experience:
At least two years of recent respiratory care experience; current BLS; current nursing license per state of assignment. - Preferred:
Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license. - Ability:
Comfortable working in a short-term acute-care hospital environment and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
