Description:

This position requires one year of experience, two years preferred. Client experience is mandatory. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary. Phlebotomy certification is required for consideration. Epic experience is essential for this role. The role involves performing blood draws and preparing specimens for analysis. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of various blood collection techniques.

Maintaining proper specimen handling and labeling is critical. Familiarity with quality assurance and infection control measures is required. Understanding the mode of action of additives and anticoagulants in blood collection tubes is necessary. Weekend coverage is required, every other weekend. Flexibility with floating to other units is necessary.
