Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant; COTA) in Rosamond, CA

Discover an enriching contract opportunity supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic educational environment. Youll be instrumental in assisting students from kindergarten through 12th grade, covering a maternity leave through the end of the school year. This role is a rewarding chance to impact a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students across multiple sites within the district, fostering skills for life and learning.

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California
• Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) is highly preferred
• Ability to manage and travel to different school locations within the district; itinerant experience is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
• Comfort working independently while following plans developed in conjunction with Occupational Therapists

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions according to students IEPs and the supervising OTs direction
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate with the educational team
• Work flexibly across multiple sites, meeting the needs of students throughout the district
• Support students in developing functional skills to increase independence and classroom participation
• Collaborate with school staff to create and maintain accessible learning environments
