We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in respiratory therapy, critical care, and patient assessment, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality respiratory support and patient care. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your expertise directly impacts patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Receive and follow schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures of the community to which the position is assigned.
- Perform focused interviews to identify specific patients’ needs.
- Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiological and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data and information from healthcare members and documents actual and/or potential diagnoses.
- Plan for outcomes of care for assigned patients.
- Perform interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and company policies and patient care outcome standards.
- Follow emergency, safety, and infection control procedures of the community to which the position is assigned.
- Promote and participate in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications.
- Report and document changes in the patient’s respiratory status to the Physician, Nurse, and others responsible for oversight of patient care, prior to exiting the community.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Minimum of associate degree from an accredited school
- Graduate of a respiratory care program required
- Bachelor of Science degree in the healthcare field preferred
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license for California
- Must hold a current CPR/BLS and ACLS certification
- Competitive salary range: $50 - $55 HOURLY
