The Events Coordinator will assist Events managers with administrative duties including but not limited to Word processing, account management, presentation preparation and customer follow up.  This position will coordinate account client needs and client events. The Events Coordinator will maintain files, systems and communication to other departments as directed by Events managers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills on assignments.

The pay rate for this position is $20.00-$24.00 hourly. This is the pay rate for this position that The Grand Hyatt Indian Wells reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

* + A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.

+ Refined verbal and written communication skills.

+ Must have basic hospitality industry knowledge.

+ Must be able to work independently and confidently.

+ At least one year of sales/catering experience is a plus.

+ Must be able to establish professional relationships within the hotel and manage confidential information.

+ Strengths must include knowledge of PowerPoint, excel, and word programs.

+ Flexibility in work schedule a plus.
