The Bell Attendant is responsible for providing a warm and professional 4-Star/4-Diamond welcome to all guests upon arrival. This role includes escorting guests to their rooms with luggage, explaining resort amenities, and ensuring guests are familiar with the features of their accommodations. Bell Attendants contribute to a positive and memorable guest experience by delivering prompt and courteous service throughout the guest’s stay.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greets and welcomes guests to the resort with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Delivers 4-Star/4-Diamond service to every guest, ensuring a warm and engaging first impression.
  • Assists with luggage handling, including transporting luggage to guest rooms with or without a luggage cart.
  • Escorts guests to their rooms, providing information on hotel services, amenities, and room features.
  • Retrieves guests’ luggage upon departure and ensures it is delivered to the lobby and placed in the guest's vehicle.
  • Picks up items for laundry or valet service as requested.
  • Maintains accurate records of bell service calls and guest assistance requests.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned to support guest satisfaction and department operations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance or support to other team members.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in person and by telephone.
  • Computer-literate; experience with LMS preferred.
  • Demonstrates discretion, professionalism, and a high level of guest service commitment.
  • Ability to act as a knowledgeable resource and sales representative for the property’s amenities and services.
  • Experience in California hotel room sales preferred.
  • Strong ethical standards and ability to work well with diverse teams and guests.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of guest and business information.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Additional coursework in hospitality, tourism, or customer service is a plus.
  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in a guest services, bell desk, or valet support role preferred.
  • Proven ability to assist guests with luggage, provide property information, and deliver exceptional service.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional, courteous demeanor.
  • Ability to operate luggage carts, stand for extended periods, and lift/move heavy items safely.
  • Familiarity with hotel/resort operations and guest amenities is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a casino, resort, or high-volume hospitality environment is a plus.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have successfully completed a background check and obtained a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency, as required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to read and interpret documents in English, such as instructions, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and guests.

  • Lifting and Carrying: Frequently lifts and carries luggage, personal items, and packages weighing up to 75 pounds; may also push or pull loaded bell carts over long distances and across various surfaces.
  • Manual Dexterity: Regularly uses hands and fingers to handle guest belongings, operate bell carts, radios, and door mechanisms.
  • Mobility: Continuously moves throughout the hotel lobby, guestroom hallways, loading areas, and property entrances; requires walking, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
