Hotel Housekeeping
Job Summary
The Houseperson is responsible for cleaning and maintaining public areas of the hotel and assisting room attendants with the general cleaning of guest rooms. This includes vacuuming, shampooing carpets, cleaning/waxing floors, trash removal, stocking and maintaining supply rooms, and other housekeeping duties.

- Walk assigned floors at the beginning and end of shift; remove newspapers, service trays, ash urns, trash, linens, and note any areas that require immediate cleaning.
- Clean public areas such as hallways, elevators, service areas, and stairwells.
- Remove dirty linen, towel, and trash from service areas and take it to the appropriate locations.
- Assist sectional housekeepers as needed (e.g., moving furniture, rollways).
- Report missing or damaged articles and submit all found items to the Housekeeping office according to Lost and Found procedures.
- Respond to guest requests and questions, reporting guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Ensure that all hallways are clear of trash and that used room service trays have been taken to the Stewarding department.
- Report the need for floor cleaning/polishing and carpet shampoo; coordinate and use equipment to conduct cleaning procedures.
- Arrange newspapers and magazines in the lobby; clear tables of used materials and/or trash.
- Report any maintenance issues promptly to ensure all items are logged with the PBX center.
- Transport baby cribs and rollaway beds to guest rooms.
- Participate in training classes set up by The Arrabelle, Rock Resort, and Vail Resorts.
- Comply with all resort policies, procedures, and standard operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School or GED (Preferred)
- 2–3 years of housekeeping experience or equivalent (Preferred)
- Previous experience in hotels or condos (Preferred)
- Effective communication in English (Required)
- Spanish communication (Preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (Required)
- Ability to stand for long periods of time exceeding 2 hours without sitting (Required)
- Willingness to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays (Required)
