Meadowood Estate Hosts and the Concierge Team are the main points of contact for each Meadowood guest before, during, and after their stay. Guests experience a true sense of gracious and personalized hospitality, feeling as if they have been welcomed into our home, and that their motivations for visiting Napa Valley are seen and fully nourished with an expert level of planning and care.

Position Responsibilities & Work Activities

  • Create personalized experiences that foster guest loyalty by serving as a dedicated point of contact and building meaningful relationships through a deep understanding of each guest's preferences and motivations.
  • Conduct thoughtful pre-arrival outreach and post-stay follow-up while maintaining an organized and accurate database of loyal guests to support meaningful, ongoing relationships.
  • Provide a warm welcome, property orientation, and itinerary overview upon arrival
  • Craft immersive, highly personalized itineraries, including record of guest feedback to continuously elevate future experience
  • Identify opportunities to surprise and delight guests through thoughtful recognition of milestones and special occasions
  • Respond to telephone calls and emails in a timely, professional manner while maintaining consistent and thoughtful communication throughout the guest journey
  • Collaborate across all resort departments to ensure a seamless luxury experience
  • Uphold Forbes standards across all guest interactions and service touchpoints
  • Cultivates and strengthens relationships within the Napa Valley community, including wineries, restaurants, art organizations, and transportation partners
  • Stay ahead of trends in wine, culinary, fitness, and cultural experiences to elevate guest offerings
  • Meet monthly outreach goals that promote on-property amenities (Spa, Dining, Wine Center, Fitness, Tennis)
  • Become proficient in all hotel systems, programs, and procedures
  • Participate in all required trainings and complete assigned coursework
  • Adhere to all departmental and property-wide standards and protocols

  • Highly articulate with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Present a consistently polished, well-groomed, and professional appearance
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and solution-oriented, serving as a role model for Meadowood Napa Valley's values while fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Acts as a positive ambassador and advocate for Meadowood Napa Valley, including The Napa Valley Reserve, the Wine Center, and winery domains

Experience Requirements

  • 2-3 years Hotel/Hospitality Leadership Role
  • Bachelors or Associates Degree (preferred)
  • Hotel Operating Systems – i.e., V1 or Opera
  • Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Concierge Itinerary Building Tools
  • Driver's license
  • Wine Education or Knowledge - Court of Master Sommeliers, WSET or equivalent working experience
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, professionally, and graciously with members, hotel guests, managers, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all Meadowood departments and with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to communicate comfortably with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds, personalities, cultures, and communication styles.
  • Strong active-listening skills and the ability to recognize verbal and nonverbal cues to anticipate guest needs.
  • Ability to communicate sensitive and confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Relationship-building skills with the ability to establish and maintain trusted connections with guests, members, colleagues, and community partners.
