Clair Tappaan Lodge is a mountain ski hostel located on Donner Summit. It was built by the Sierra Club in the 1930's. The lodge is brimming with history and lore. It's truly an amazing place and an exceptional place to work. Come work with us and become a part of Sierra Nevada history!

The House Person plays a key role in the overall guest experience for Clair Tappaan Lodge. Responsibilities include all aspects of cleaning/maintaining the common areas of the hotel including bunk rooms, restrooms, cafeteria, hallways, kitchen and the lobby. Additionally, you'll provide exceptional guest service, address guests' queries, and assist other departments as needed. Minor maintenance experience is desired, but not required.

Ultimately, you will ensure a pleasant and comfortable experience for our guests and Sierra Club members.

• Clean guest and back office restrooms
• Sweep, mop and vacuum hallways, back offices and common areas
• Wipe down tables, chairs, desks, walls, equipment etc.
• Assist other departments as needed
• Dust furniture and fixtures
• Follow hotel security guidelines
• Get permission from supervisor or manager before clocking out

Required

• Flexibility to work in shifts and report for scheduled shifts
• Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards
• Excellent organization skills
• Ability to follow instructions

Preferred

• High School Diploma
• Work experience as a Room Attendant or Maid
• Experience with hotel cleaning standards and products
