The Napa Valley Reserve is a private wine growing estate and club whose Members share a passion for fine wine and all that it encompasses. To maintain standards of excellence of The Napa Valley Reserve and Meadowood Napa Valley, providing our members and guests with seamless memorable experiences.

Position Summary:

The Houseman plays a vital role in ensuring the consistent presentation and upkeep of all member and guest-facing areas, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, order, and readiness. This position primarily supports the Housekeeping and Events teams, while also providing assistance to Facilities Maintenance as needed. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as the role often requires swift adjustments to accommodate changes in scheduled events, programming, or operational needs.

Demonstrate strong attention to detail, a proactive work ethic, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to help ensure seamless service and facility operations.

Specific Work Duties and But Not Limited To
  • Assist Housekeeping Team based on calendared priority needs.
  • Fireplaces; cleaning and replenishing firewood.
  • Cleaning and removal of cobwebs and dust at skylights in elevated interior areas, utilizing a scissor lift.
  • Cleaning and dusting of light fixtures, interior and exterior.
  • Cleaning of all handrails and door handles property wide.
  • Pressure washing patio areas when needed.
  • Assist Events Team with event furniture movement and resets post event.
  • Completion of special projects, such as assembly of shelves as an example.
  • Assist Facilities Maintenance Team, lending an extra hand in the winery, caves, event spaces, garden and vineyard where needed.
Fire and Safety:

You will be made aware of all safety standards at the beginning of and throughout your employment, including but not limited to stretching at the beginning of your shift and staying properly hydrated.

Training:
Training will be provided ensuring the proper use of a forklift and scissor lift.

Work Assignment:

Including the listed Work Duties, you might be asked to work in other areas and work with other departments between The Napa Valley Reserve and Meadowood Napa Valley.

Physical Requirements of Position:

The ability to spend the day on your feet, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and have the ability to lift 50 lbs, without the use of mechanical aids, and always reach out for assistance for help where needed.

Keys:

You will be assigned a set of keys, and these keys should remain on property at all times.

Uniform:

The Napa Valley Reserve will provide a set of pants and a set of shirts in accordance with the department's and company's standards. The uniform should always be clean and pressed upon your arrival at the start of the day.

Compensation & Benefits:

The base pay range for this position is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour. This represents the range The Napa Valley Reserve reasonably anticipates paying for this role. The final offer will be determined based on a candidate’s experience, education, and other job-related qualifications.
