Food & Beverage Events Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Food and Beverage Event Coordinator will provide departmental support for concerts and special events throughout Thunder Valley Casino Resort. Tasks include coordination of staff assignment sheet, tracking of food and beverage inventories, reconciling bar sales, receiving and distributing beverages and supplies, and supporting bar operation before, after, and during concerts and special events. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

Essential Functions:

1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s “ELITE” company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
2. Coordinate staffing needs for all concerts and special events at The Venue, pool, and other food and beverage areas.
3. Assist food and beverage departments with assigning on-demand labor according to their needs, using in-house Team Members and outsourced staff.
4. Ensure that Food & Beverage Team Members and outsourced staff are embracing and delivering AAA Four Diamond-caliber service to Guests throughout each concert and special event.
5. Track and update concert bar sale sheets weekly, and manage Team Members’ in-and-out sign-in sheets according to outsourced labor agreements for all outsourced labor.
6. Assist food and beverage management with creating spreadsheets, logging weekly labor cost, and coordinating with the Accounting department to deliver accurate outsourced labor payments.
7. Assist with ordering product and tracking inventories.
8. Provide support at concerts and events for any ad-hoc requests and special needs.
9. Practice and observe safety rules and regulations, and encourage others to do so. Comply with Board of Health Standards and ensure cleanliness of all beverage and concession areas in concert and special event venues. Ensure Team Member safety and display knowledge of all emergency procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. One (1) year of banquets or events experience in a hospitality environment.
3. Basic understanding of bar areas, bar systems, and point-of-sale (POS) units.
4. Computer proficiency, including working experience with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
5. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and management in both written and verbal form.
6. Ability to work a flexible schedule in a high performance, fast paced work environment including evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
7. Must be at least 21 years of age.
8. Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.

Physical Requirements:

1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
2. Requires walking, reaching, turning, bending, lifting, carrying, observing, hearing, sitting.
3. Ability to stand and walk for prolonged time periods.
4. Ability to lift 25 lbs.
5. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
