The HR Generalist is a proactive and organized professional responsible for supporting and broader human resources initiatives. This role collaborates closely with a full-time recruiter to manage the day-to-day operations of the recruitment process and contributes to the development and execution of talent acquisition strategies. Key responsibilities include managing a limited requisition load, maintaining a proactive talent pipeline, and providing support across various HR functions.

The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role provides flexibility to work in a hybrid environment of home and our Westlake Village, CA office. (Hybrid is defined as 3-4 times per week in the office).

Recruiting/Staffing
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring teams, ensuring a positive and professional candidate experience.
  • Post job openings on internal and external job boards, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain and update applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment databases.
  • Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process, including interview confirmations, follow-ups, and status updates.
  • Assist with drafting and sending offer letters, coordinating background checks, and onboarding documentation.
  • Support the recruiter in sourcing candidates through job boards, social media, and networking platforms.
  • Manage a small requisition load, including screening resumes, conducting initial phone screens, and coordinating next steps with hiring managers.
  • Manage the temporary staffing process and maintain relationships with staffing agencies and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective temporary staffing solutions.
  • Build and maintain a proactive talent pipeline by engaging with potential candidates and maintaining relationships for future hiring needs.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide administrative support throughout the hiring process.
  • Assist with organizing and participating in career fairs, recruitment events, and employer branding initiatives.
Human Resources
  • Maintain and organize employee records and ensure compliance with data retention policies.
  • Oversee new hire paperwork and onboarding processes (company swag, IT set up, etc.), ensuring a positive employee experience.
  • Support immigration processes, including visa applications, renewals, and compliance with immigration laws.
  • Oversee coordination of various company benefits, such as gift matching and tuition reimbursement.
  • Manage employment verification requests and respond to unemployment claims.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of HR experience, with at least 2 in recruitment/talent acquisition.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a great candidate experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with applicant tracking systems (e.g., iCIMS) is a plus.
