Location: Hybrid — Inland Empire

Hours of Operation: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM; occasional evenings or weekends as needed during peak season

Hourly Range: $24.00 – $30.00/hr

Woodcraft Rangers provides TK–12 expanded learning programs, including before and after school, specialty enrichment, and summer learning. In the past few years, Woodcraft has expanded its menu of services beyond traditional after school programs and summer camps to include early learning, environmental and social justice, college access, and inclusion services for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Additionally, we offer Life Craft, a college and career advancement program to support the development of approximately 2,250 staff.

Today, Woodcraft Rangers serves more than 30,000 youth ages 4 to 18 each year across 150+ Title I schools in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties, and continues to expand its reach.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented HR operations professional who understands that compliance is not just a checkbox — it is the foundation of a great employee experience. They bring a working knowledge of California employment law, pre‑employment clearance requirements, and HR systems, and they take pride in maintaining accurate records and airtight processes. The Onboarding Specialist, Operations & Compliance anchors the operational and compliance foundation of Woodcraft Rangers’ onboarding process. This role is the primary owner of pre‑employment clearances, compliance documentation, payroll setup, and onboarding logistics— ensuring every new hire is brought in compliantly and that nothing falls through the cracks. Compliance and data accuracy do not stop at the point of hire: this role maintains ongoing responsibility for site transitions and employee data changes throughout the employee lifecycle.

This role sits within the People Experience team and reports to the Associate Director of People Experience. During peak hiring season, this role flexes to support co‑facilitation of orientation, LMS enrollment, and shadow day coordination as needed.
