Are you interested in building a career in Human Resources or Talent Acquisition? Ventura Coastal is looking for a motivated and organized Intern Recruiter to join our HR team and gain hands‑on experience in the recruiting process.

This internship is a great opportunity to learn how recruiting works in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment while working alongside experienced HR and Talent Acquisition professionals. You’ll gain exposure to candidate sourcing, resume review, phone screenings, interview coordination, recruiting events, applicant tracking systems, and more.

• Source candidates through job boards, social media, employee referrals, community resources, and other recruiting channels.
• Review resumes and applications based on established job qualifications.
• Conduct initial candidate phone screens using established interview questions and guidelines.
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process and help provide a positive candidate experience.
• Create, post, update, and monitor job advertisements.
• Assist with career fairs, hiring events, job fairs, and community outreach.
• Maintain candidate information and recruitment activity in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Assist with tracking recruitment metrics and preparing reports.
• Support offer, pre-employment, and onboarding activities.
• Help create recruiting materials and candidate communications.
• Participate in HR and Talent Acquisition projects focused on improving recruiting processes, sourcing strategies, and the candidate experience.
• Gain exposure to recruiting for hourly, skilled‑trades, technical, and professional positions.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred.
• Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources, recruiting, or Talent Acquisition.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Friendly and professional when interacting with candidates, employees, and managers.
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable learning new systems and technology.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel between our Visalia and Tipton facilities as needed.

• Previous internship, administrative, customer service, HR, or recruiting experience.
• Familiarity with Paycom or another HRIS/Applicant Tracking System.
• Experience with Linked In, Indeed, or other recruiting platforms.
• Interest in manufacturing or high‑volume recruiting.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills.

This isn’t an internship where you’ll spend your time observing from the sidelines. You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with our Talent Acquisition and HR teams and gain practical experience throughout the recruiting process.

You’ll develop skills in candidate sourcing, interviewing, communication, HR systems, recruiting operations, and candidate engagement—giving you a strong foundation for a future career in Human Resources or Talent Acquisition.
