About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of CAL FIRE's public incident information application
. The ideal candidate will manage timelines, deliverables, risks, and stakeholder communications while ensuring project quality, compliance, and alignment with CAL FIRE's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end delivery for CAL FIRE's public incident information app.
  • Manage project schedules, deliverables, risks, and stakeholder communications with CAL FIRE and cross-functional teams.
  • Drive Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
  • Oversee quality assurance, testing, and compliance with public sector standards.
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
    .
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, QA, and product teams to meet objectives.
  • Track progress using project management tools and prepare detailed status reports.
  • Identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Promote continuous improvement in project execution and communication processes.
    • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of project management experience in SaaS, mobile applications, or public sector projects
    .
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
    .
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale, cross-functional initiatives
    .
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g.,
    JIRA, Asana, MS Project, Trello
    ).
  • PMP certification preferred (or equivalent).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's a plus).
    • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with government or emergency services organizations
    .
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
