MSP Technician II

We’re looking for a Level 2 IT Technician to join our growing MSP team. Come work with a great group of people in a fast-growing company where hard work is noticed, appreciated, and rewarded.

This role is a great fit for a technician who enjoys solving real-world problems, has solid Microsoft 365 experience, and takes ownership of issues from intake through resolution. You’ll work closely with dispatch, Level 1 techs, and senior engineers to support small and mid-sized business clients across the San Diego area.

* Key Responsibilities
* * Own and resolve tickets assigned by dispatch from start to finish

* Handle escalations from Level 1 technicians

* Meet SLA targets and communicate clearly when blockers arise

* Provide on-site and remote support for client environments

* Accurately document all work in the PSA

* Assist with small-to-medium IT projects (user onboarding, M365 changes, endpoint deployments, etc.)

* Maintain and improve technical documentation and SOPs

* Participate in on-call rotation (occasional evenings/weekends as scheduled)

* Required Qualifications
* * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Entra /Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint, One Drive)

* Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, basic firewall concepts)

* Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills

* Proficient with Windows Desktop and Windows Server environments

* Hands-on experience with Hyper-V

* Backup and recovery fundamentals

* Experience with MSP tools: RMM and PSA platforms (HaloPSA and/or Ninja One preferred)

* Ability to perform both remote and on-site support

* Valid driver’s license, clean driving record

* Nice-to-Have Skills (Not Required)
* * Experience with Sentinel One or similar EDR platforms

* Experience with Uni Fi networking (switches, APs, gateways)

* Experience with Intune / Endpoint Management

* Familiarity with basic firewall changes (Meraki, Uni Fi, Forti Gate, etc.)

* Experience with Egnyte

* Escalate complex issues to senior engineers with proper documentation and troubleshooting context

Job Type: Full-time

Pay:
From $40.00 per hour
