Position: Network Specialist - Senior with Security Clearance

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Network Specialist to support a high-performance computing modernization program through On-Site work in Point Loma, CA. This role is ideal for someone experienced in advanced networking environments who enjoys supporting mission-critical systems within secure, high-performance computing settings. Responsibilities of the Senior Network Specialist:
• Support architecture, integration, and optimization of enterprise-level network and system environments, including routing, switching, firewalls, and system interfaces.
• Evaluate, test, and implement hardware and software solutions while contributing to system-level design, quality assurance reviews, and performance improvements.
• Develop and maintain system-wide testing strategies, troubleshooting processes, and documentation for network operations.
• Analyze operational requirements, create custom software or utility enhancements when needed, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated IT solutions. Qualifications of the Senior Network Specialist:
• 4+ years of hands-on technical experience in networking or systems engineering.
• Strong background in firewall technologies.
• Proficiency in routing protocols, switching, VLANs, trunking, and OSI model principles.
• Must be eligible to obtain/maintain Secret-level security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience considered). Compensation of the Senior Network Specialist:
• Salary Range: $120,000 - $135,000 (based on experience)
