The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and supporting enterprise-grade network infrastructures. Beyond theoretical knowledge, this role strictly requires hands-on experienc
e in configuring and physically deploying enterprise network hardware. The ideal candidate must be highly proficient in building and refining network design diagrams to visualize, optimize, and maintain corporate architectures
- Hands-on Infrastructure & Deployment: Perform physical installation, structured cabling, and initial configuration of enterprise hardware, including Cisco switch
es and high-availability firewalls - Network Security Management: Deploy, configure, and manage next-generation firewalls, specifically Palo Alto Networks and Fortigate, ensuring robust edge security and internal segmentation
- Wireless Environment Operations: Deploy, optimize, and support enterprise wireless environments, utilizing cloud-managed solutions like Cisco Meraki APs
- Design & Documentation: Create new high-level/low-level network topology maps or refine and update existing diagrams (via Visio, Lucidchart, etc.) to accurately reflect continuous infrastructure changes
- Routing, Switching & Segmentation: Manage advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 configurations, VLAN segmentation, and traffic optimization to ensure seamless data flow between office spaces and lab environments
- Monitoring & Support: Proactively monitor infrastructure health using tools such as PRTG or equivalent enterprise monitoring software, responding swiftly to network anomalies or downtime
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven, hands-on experience in configuring, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-level network equipment
- Technical Skills Stack:
* Deep practical understanding of network architecture, including L2/L3 routing, switching, and VLAN segmentations - Production-level experience with Cisco networking equipment
- Solid configuration and management skills for Palo Alto and Fortigate firewalls
- Hands-on experience with wireless deployment, especially Cisco Meraki AP
- Design Capability: High proficiency in using tools like Visio or Lucidchart to create and maintain professional network topology diagrams
- System & Infrastructure Awareness: A foundational understanding of Server and Storage systems (e.g., how SAN/NAS and Linux/Windows servers connect to the network) to ensure smooth infrastructure integration and effective cross-team collaboration
- Documentation & Planning: Strong experience in network proposal planning, structural inventory management, and technical documentation
- Advanced Networking: Practical knowledge of advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and experience leading or heavily participating in large-scale infrastructure migration projects
- Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE, NSE) are a plus
