Summary of the Job

Reporting to the Cybersecurity Product Manager, the Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining Cybersecurity Operations (Cyber Ops) technology platforms, concentrating around identity and access controls.

Essential Functions

The Cybersecurity Engineer will develop, design, and deploy new solutions along with tuning and configuring existing Cyber Ops security technologies.

The Cybersecurity Engineer will have working knowledge primarily within the identity and access management security domain. Platform identity governance, identity access management, privilege access, and data protection will encompass the majority of this role's responsibilities with cross‑knowledge of other Cybersecurity technologies.

The Cybersecurity Engineer will also be tasked with enabling automation across Cyber Ops security technologies, and the integration between such technologies and the larger set of systems and applications within Liberty Bank. The role involves designing, developing, testing and deploying toolsets provided by various Cyber Ops technology vendors.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Owning and managing a subset of Cyber Ops technologies and configurations
  • Designing proofs of concepts, testing, staging, and deploying new Cyber Ops technology platforms to meet security standards
  • Establishing privilege management tool configurations to reduce risks and segregate access.
  • Maintain processes for access requests, reviews and data ownership life cycles.
  • Analysis of automation and integration within the current Cyber Ops technology stack to identify integrations that have gone unleveraged
  • Ensuring other Cyber Ops personnel are trained on solutions that are being stood up or adopted by Cyber Ops organization
  • Building knowledge on other Cyber Ops solutions to similarly provide business continuity for those other Cyber Ops solutions.
  • Documenting and defining metrics for oversight and monitoring, as well as thresholds of alerting and escalations
  • Preparing, testing, staging, and deploying major releases and major changes to existing Cyber Ops technology platforms utilizing standard change management procedures
  • Identifying areas of improvement across Cyber Ops technology platforms
  • Operating the customized or in-house built Cyber Ops technology platforms, including:
    • Software licenses and version upgrades
    • Technical maintenance contact
    • Platform availability and monitoring
    • Platform testing and tuning
  • Optimizing the features and functionality across the technology stack of Cyber Ops to reduce risk to the company and its customers
Second Accountabilities
  • Working with Technology team members to design automation and integration that supports the business and meets or exceeds security standards
  • Maintaining operational documentation for Cyber Ops technology platforms
  • Validation of compliance with security standards across all information technology platforms
  • Works within a team environment and across Cybersecurity Engineering services and its consumers to complete associated tasks with exceptional results
  • Member of business project teams providing guidance to support Cyber Ops and other IT operations during development and deployment of solutions
Minimum Knowledge & Skills
  • Bachelors Degree in Cybersecurity or Computer Science or a three-year technical certificate in a related field such as application development, computer engineering, information security, related technical or investigative discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in security platform management and/or security operations
  • Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong reading comprehension of English technical materials
