Location: Bridgeport
TEKsystems is seeking an IT Specialist to offer hands on desktop support. For those who desire a hands-on, technical role, you'll perform tasks such as reimaging computers, pushing out Windows updates, rolling out software upgrades, and shipping out hardware for those who need new equipment. This work directly impacts the unclassified network which the US Marine Corps and Navy work on.
Job Responsibilities:
• An IT Specialist Mid/Jr will install, configure, service, repair, and maintain IT systems in both a stand- alone and client-server environment, including MS server, Defense Message Systems, and other authorized IT systems.
• Interacts with the customer to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context and organizational strategic direction.
• Collects, identifies, defines and organizes detailed user and information technology requirements.
• Coordinates and collaborates with others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure plans and identified solutions meet customer needs and expectations for all IT peripherals. Requirements:
• Secret Clearance
• DoD IAT II 8570 Baseline Certification – Sec+CE or equivalent/higher
• 3+ years of desktop and IT experience
• Good communication skills (written and verbal) ----
