Job Overview

CALIBRE is an employee‑owned mission‑focused solutions and digital transformation company seeking a Joint Planner who facilitates the integration of Joint Service units (primarily Air Force, but also Marine Corps, Space Force, Navy, and Coalition Partners on occasion) into US Army exercises at the National Training Center (NTC), Fort Irwin, CA.

• Invite Joint Service and/or Coalition Partner unit representatives to the Initial Planning Conference (IPC) for each NTC rotation.
• Facilitate preparation and submission of a Capabilities and Limitations quad chart(s) for presentation at the IPC.
• Capture the Army Senior Trainer’s intent for each rotation by participating in the D‑270 Division Exercise Design brief.
• Travel to each IPC where the Joint Planner does the following:
  • Present the GREEN FLAG brief to the Senior Trainer and Staff.
  • Conduct the Joint Fires Integration Working Group.
  • Participate in the Intel Working Group.
  • Participate in the Fires Working Group.
  • Attend Live Fire Working Group.
  • Provide input to and attend the Senior Trainer Outbrief.
• Prepare and present a monthly update to the 12th Combat Training Squadron and 549th Combat Training Squadron Commanders.
• Participate in the Leader Training Program:
  • Facilitate Joint/Coalition Partner attendance.
  • Schedule, host and facilitate link‑up session with Raven Team Observer Coach/Trainers and 549 CTS.
• Attend each rotation “Plus Brief”:
  • Present Joint/Coalition Partner training objectives.
  • Provide back‑brief to 12 CTS and 549 CTS Commanders.
• Attend the GREEN FLAG Initial and Main Planning Events.
• Execute the FUOPS/CUOPS handover.
• Verify Air Support Operations Squadron (ASOS) deliverables received.
• Brief Team Chief, 12 CTS Director of Operations and Raven OC/TS.
• Scenario overview and identify key events.
• Prepare Operations Plan, Warning Order and Operations Order products.
• Review Master Air Attack Plan (MAAP) for each rotation, comparing sortie dates/times to planned rotational events and identifying any potential incongruence with 12 CTS and 549 CTS.
• Maintain Joint folder on NTC Operations Group MS Teams channel: GREEN FLAG schedules, Joint/Coalition Partner quad charts.
• Attend monthly Air Combat Command stakeholders meeting.
• Maintain the GREEN FLAG – NTC MS Teams Channel on Air Force Teams, updating deliverables and supporting documents and ensuring ASOS can access the channel to download and upload documents.

• Joint military planning experience.
• Thorough knowledge of MS Office and MS Teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders and organizational levels.

The base salary for this position is $72,000 to $77,000 depending on experience.
