IT Project Manager, IT Consultant, Systems Analyst, Systems Administrator
Responsible for planning, supervising, organizing and directing functions of the IS Dept. Able to demonstrate thorough knowledge of software, mainframes, mini/micro computers, communication and telecommunication systems database and networks. Resolves complex organizational and technological problems. Develops, implements, evaluates information technology programs based on systems analysis. Establishes policies and procedures for procurement, installation and support of computers, application systems, communications and telecommunication systems.
Follows the facility’s policies and procedures, local, state and federal regulations. Prepares, implements and monitors department annual budget.
- Directs the functions of the Information Systems Department including information technology and telecommunications.
- Develops, implements, evaluates information technology programs based on systems analysis.
- Establishes policies and procedures for the procurement, installation and support of computers, application systems and communications and telecommunications systems.
- Develops strategies for the Internet and Intranet.
- Confers with administration and department managers to determine information technology and communication needs.
- Keeps current with principles and practices, technology, regulations and standards that apply to healthcare information technology and communications.
- Demonstrates knowledge of software, mainframes, mini and micro computers, communication and telecommunication systems database and networks.
- Thorough knowledge of state-of-the-art information technology applications used in the healthcare industry.
- Thorough knowledge of HIPAA regulations and other state and federal privacy and confidentiality of information requirements.
- Maintains a good working relationship with outside consultants and vendors.
- Knowledgeable of computer center operations and procedures and systems analysis.
- Oversees all information technology projects; design, plans, specifications, estimates, reports and recommendations.
- Bachelor’s degree Computer Science or Info Technology;
Master’s Degree preferred. - Minimum (5) years’ experience in data processing, systems analysis, computer operations, project management and supervision.
- Must be capable of working under pressure and must be able to effectively communicate in English; both verbal and written.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and interface professionally, tactfully and respectfully with staff and the general public.
- Excellent computer skills required.
- Must have thorough knowledge of all aspects of computer systems, operations, programming languages, system analysis, design and equipment.
