Senior Trade Compliance Specialist
As a Senior Trade Compliance Specialist, your primary responsibility is to lead and manage global import/export compliance processes for U.S. and Canadian shipments, ensuring full adherence to trade laws and regulations. You will serve as a subject‑matter expert in customs regulations, HTS/ECCN classifications, and country‑of‑origin determinations, while supporting internal audits, broker oversight, and regulatory reporting. In this role you will collaborate cross‑functionally with supply chain, procurement, product development, and logistics teams to proactively integrate compliance across the product and order lifecycle.
You will also maintain and improve record‑keeping systems, facilitate Free Trade Agreement (FTA) documentation, and monitor regulatory changes that impact Sekisui’s trade obligations. S. and Canadian trade regulations. You should be comfortable working independently on complex issues, interpreting trade laws, and implementing scalable compliance frameworks.
Experience with trade automation tools and certifications such as CCS, CES, or CTCS will be considered assets. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, or a related field, with 5—8 years of progressive experience in global trade compliance or customs operations.
