Logistics Coordinator
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our growing Supply Chain team in Richmond, CA. This temporary role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to logistics, shipping and receiving, inventory control, and warehouse administration. The position is ideal for candidates with a background in supply chain operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities.
- Schedule freight carriers and customer shipments.
- Generate Bills of Lading and shipping documents.
- Maintain inventory records and system transactions.
- Verify incoming materials against purchase orders.
- Support production planning and warehouse operations.
- Communicate with transportation providers and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with freight quotes and logistics planning.
- Identify and resolve warehouse and shipping issues.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or supply chain coordination.
- Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills.
- Experience with ERP, EDI, WMS, or inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in food manufacturing, packaging, or process manufacturing.
- Knowledge of freight rates, lane pricing, and transportation logistics.
- Forklift experience or certification.
- Experience supporting production planning and scheduling.
- Knowledge of inventory control and cycle counting.
- Customer service experience related to order fulfillment and shipping.
- Continuous improvement or process optimization experience.

Work Environment
The position is based in a manufacturing or warehouse environment with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with potential adjustments to 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The role involves using technologies such as ERP, EDI, WMS, and Microsoft Office, including Excel. The work requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
