Packaging Demand Planner
Primary responsibility of the Packaging Demand Planner is to analyze current packaging inventory to evaluate effectiveness. Position will also be responsible for ensuring yards will maintain accurate inventory levels, as well as responding to inventory related issues. In addition, the individual will directly place purchase orders of direct materials, report inventories, obsolete and aged inventory of packaging and produce items.
Analyze the carton yard inventory and determine the quantity to order ensuring the inventory is turning at the appropriate rate.
Use Tableau to understand usage of packaging items.
Manage vendors and ensure they are complying with our min/mas program.
Coordinate transfers of materials at the end of each season and within the carton yards.
Create purchase orders in Famous for packaging and overseeing the purchase order process.
Maintain and update vendor database and contact information.
Reconcile inventories weekly for financials and verify pricing info of packaging items.
Communicate ad-hoc reports on aged and obsolete materials to VP of Packaging Procurement.
Work with Finance and Suppliers to resolve PO quantity and pricing issues
Collaborate directly with scheduling, carton yard employees and production personnel.
Other duties as needed.
Minimum 2 to 5 years' experience in purchasing, accounting or supply chain.
Experience in Demand Planning
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university preferred but not required. High School Diploma required.
Proficient in MS Office, intermediate Excel, PowerPoint, accounting invoicing
Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred
Possible travel to Yuma, AZ as needed
Must be able to take calls after hours and weekends
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent time management skills, self-motivated, attention to detail and accuracy, ability to multitask, great organizational skills, excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Work onsite and meet position's attendance schedule, as required by the job.

Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Excellent communicator, both verbal and written
Ability to efficiently present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees, clients and customers of the organization.
