Maintenance Assistant

Shift: Full‑Time, 9AM – 5PM (every other weekend required)

Rate: $16.75–$17.75 per hour (based on experience)

Three Rivers, CA

The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for the routine upkeep of all facility areas inside and outside the building. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairs, and installation of equipment, floors, walls, ceilings, HVAC boiler systems, plumbing, carpentry, and drywall. The role also involves responding to cleaning requests, maintaining green space, parking lot, removing rubbish, ensuring rooms are equipped, and supporting van driving functions as needed.

• Perform general clean‑up of all areas of the building as directed.
• Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas, green space, and parking lot.
• Complete non‑routine cleaning according to specified job orders (e.g., snow removal).
• Remove rubbish and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick‑up.
• Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests.
• Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped.
• Troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems, lighting, and indoor climate control as necessary.
• Ensure building safety rules are implemented and maintained through inspection protocols.
• Drive when needed.
• Assist with bed transfers as needed.

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work with tools, ladders, and maintenance supplies as directed.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision while cooperating with departmental heads and other staff.
• Problem‑solving skills for maintenance requests.
• Good physical strength for heavy lifting and related tasks.

• Ability to read and understand work assignments, and provide verbal and written documentation as necessary.
