What You’ll Be DoingThe Maintenance Supervisor is a key position in our Lockeford branch. This position leads the activities of maintenance professionals, provides assistance to employees engaged in maintenance activities, and advises operations leadership on preventative maintenance goals, repairs as needed, and working processes for operators to optimize equipment life cycle.
A Highlight Of Your Day-to-day Will Include- Oversee the preventative maintenance programs to ensure the equipment throughout the plant and building areas operate at optimum levels of efficiency and safety. Keep and maintain records on weekly preventative maintenance checklist.
- Oversee or perform repairs on overhead cranes, batch plant, hoppers, power grids, mixers, benders, automated equipment and other equipment to ensure that the plant is operating per guidelines. Utilize a variety of power tools and hand tools to perform preventative maintenance and/or repairs to equipment and machinery. Ensure that equipment and machinery are oiled, lubricated, and inspected per company guidelines during preventative maintenance.
- Lead the activities of employees; provide assistance to workers engaged in maintenance activities; troubleshoot worker and maintenance problems and recommend solutions. Engage in interactive communication. Train workers in maintenance methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies. Monitor comprehension and re‑train as necessary.
- Manage employees including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; motivating, evaluating, rewarding and disciplining employees.
- Provide cost‑effective solutions to upgrade or repair equipment as needed by using cost‑benefit analysis and communicating to management. Provide recommendations regarding plant equipment needs, including safety mechanisms, and improvement of plants to increase productivity, decrease downtime and ensure equipment is maintained according to company guidelines.
- Provide guidance and technical advice to plant maintenance personnel on a daily basis and ensure all safety procedures are followed by maintenance personnel. Ensure projects assigned are completed according to expectations and within the timeframe required. Train maintenance workers on how to properly maintain equipment within the plant, yard, and building. Train maintenance workers regarding the utilization of various tools and machinery.
- Manage large install projects via Jensen’s maintenance personnel or outside contractors. Ensure that machinery and equipment are set up to ensure a safe and organized work environment. Review directions or communicate with vendors as needed to ensure equipment is properly maintained or installed.

Qualifications- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including installations, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance.
- Experience with low voltage equipment controls, electrical wiring troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
- Leadership experience, coaching, training, and development of others on the maintenance team.
- Strong working knowledge of PLC programming with industrial automated machinery.
