Job Summary
The Big Bear Valley Recreation and Park District is recruiting a Park Maintenance Superintendent who will plan, organize, direct, and supervise maintenance, construction, and security of park grounds, facilities, and equipment, as well as personnel. Responsibilities include full‑scope supervision of employees, providing training and safety information, ensuring grounds and equipment are maintained and in good repair, and monitoring the budget with reports and records.

- Maintain grounds and equipment to standards.
- Monitor the budget and prepare associated reports and records.
Experience: Five (5) years of experience in park and recreation facility maintenance or closely related field, at least six (6) months in a lead worker/supervisory capacity. (Closely related includes extensive grounds with several multi‑use buildings such as a school or golf course; construction and residential development is not considered qualifying.)
- Must be available to work in Big Bear.
- Valid California driver’s license and proof of automobile liability insurance required.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, and perform other physical activities up to 50 pounds.

Travel within and outside the County may be required. - Working Conditions:
Must be able to frequently lift and/or carry items weighing 10 to 50 pounds and perform other physical tasks.
