Location: Van Nuys

Silver Star Real Estate is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Regional Property Manager to oversee the operations, staffing, financial performance, compliance, delinquency management, and marketing strategies across a diverse portfolio of apartment communities. The primary objectives of this role are to enhance the financial performance of the assigned properties and provide strategic leadership that ensures operational excellence and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:
Direct and oversee the daily operations of all properties within the region, including maintenance, leasing, customer service, resident relations, and vendor coordination to ensure optimal performance and alignment with company standards.
Financial Stewardship:
Develop, implement, and manage annual budgets. Monitor financial performance metrics, including revenue, expenses, occupancy, collections, and delinquency. Execute strategies to maximize profitability, improve cash flow, and maintain financial efficiency.
Rent Control

Experience:

Must have experience managing rent-controlled properties and strong knowledge of rent control regulations, tenant protections, rent increase rules, notices, and compliance requirements.
Yardi

Experience:

Must have hands-on experience using Yardi for property management operations, reporting, resident ledgers, rent charges, move-ins, move-outs, renewals, and financial tracking.
Delinquency and Collections Management:
Must have experience managing rent collections and delinquency across multiple properties, including monitoring delinquency reports, following up on past-due balances, supporting payment plans when appropriate, and working with site teams to reduce outstanding balances.
Regulatory Compliance:
Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, housing, and regulatory standards. Ensure all properties adhere to federal, state, local, and rent control regulations.
Leadership and Team Development:
Provide strong leadership to on-site property managers and staff, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and excellence. Lead by example to drive team performance, resident satisfaction, and operational success.
Marketing and Leasing Strategy:
Oversee leasing performance, occupancy goals, renewal efforts, and marketing strategies to maximize rental income and maintain strong property performance.
