Emergency Mishap Coordinator
Serve as the Center's Emergency Mishap Coordinator, and primary Point of Contact during real time emergencies to facilitate and engage in incident communication, coordinate operational decisions, and ensure alignment with AFRC executive leadership.
Manage the Center's Mishap Program and lead mishap response coordination efforts with Edwards AFB Leadership and other stakeholders, ensuring unified command, synchronized response actions, and accurate information flow across all mission partners.
Analyze ground and aviation-related mishaps, verify root cause and other causal factors for the mishap, and recommend corrective actions for the betterment of the program.
Verify Human Factors related to mishaps, analyze trends and provide data to management to help prevent future mishaps and incidents.
Responsible for ensuring that all guidance documents related to the Armstrong Mishap program are current and reviewed at appropriate intervals and work with NASA headquarters to ensure that the program is audit ready at any time.
Maintain a safety database to track mishap investigation, corrective action implementation and closure status, as well as a list of trained mishaps investigators to respond to incidents and mishaps when needed.
Oversee safety program related tasks for support contractor.
