SUMMARY:
This facility is part of our Prepared Foods business unit. The Maintenance Manager I is responsible for supervising the maintenance of production equipment buildings and utilities including ammonia compressors offal and Wastewater Department.
- Assist in planning and executing plant improvements and expansions.
- Ensure all maintenance personnel are proficient in operating equipment and possess necessary maintenance skills.
- Implement training programs to keep staff updated on operating equipment and maintenance practices.
- Establish and maintain a safe workplace environment, complying with all safety and regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, OSHA, PSM, and environmental regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
- Communicate and enforce safety programs effectively.
- Continuously monitor plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime and promptly address issues.
- Maintain refrigeration and wastewater systems to meet regulatory guidelines.
- Establish and manage a computerized maintenance management system (SAP) for tracking work orders and maintaining an adequate inventory of replacement parts.
- Analyze maintenance data to identify areas for improvement in plant operations and maintenance processes.
- Make recommendations for enhancing plant operations based on data analysis.
- Ensure maintenance personnel are properly trained, equipped, and motivated to carry out maintenance programs efficiently and safely.
- Implement the Coastal Training system for necessary skillsets and provide required resources.
- Administer the maintenance budget and ensure financial goals are achieved.
- Monitor and administer the purchasing and use of parts, equipment, materials, and supplies in the maintenance department.
- Maintain a tracking system to analyze key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance costs, and PM compliance.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Experience:
6 plus years of maintenance experience. - Computer
Skills:
Standard computer skills. - Communication
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; some public speaking skills. - Special
Skills:
Industrial Maintenance in fields such as electrical, refrigeration, hydraulics, or mechanical. - Supervisory:
Responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform similar or interrelated tasks. - Travel: 1-5 domestic trips per year.
