General Manager

We are recruiting a General Manager to lead our customer’s U.S. effort to grow in North America. The individual will act as a liaison with the company’s irrigation partner solidifying the relationship and managing growth opportunities. They will also work with end customers.

The GM will plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the business. They will also be responsible for customer success, supporting growers, revenue generation, and sales growth through the partnership.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting clear and measurable goals (OKRs) for the company's US operations and working with the team to achieve these goals.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to grow the company's US business through and beyond the partnership.
  • Working with the product development team to bring new added value, working closely with the company's research and development team, and collaborating with external partners and suppliers.
  • Developing work routines with customers, including regular meetings, field days, and demo days, acting as the bridge between the end user and the R&D team.
  • Responsible for managing the company's budget and financial performance in the US, including monitoring expenses, tracking revenue, and identifying ways to improve profitability.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, partners, and employees, and interacting with diverse partners, from field technicians to VP.

Experience:

  • Degree in Agriculture / Business Administration / Marketing.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and experience working with data.
  • Ag-tech background and passion for the agriculture industry
    -must.
  • In-depth knowledge of the agriculture industry.
  • Proven experience as a Manager with organizational and leadership ability.
  • In-depth understanding of corporate governance and general management best practices.
  • Ability to develop strategies and use performance OKRs.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and self-motivated.
  • Outstanding communication and people skills.
  • Identify key staff in client companies to cultivate profitable relationships.
  • A passion for customer retention and value creation.
