Position Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Operations Manager that is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Horn Technologies and Services pest management and fumigation services. This role ensures that all services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry regulations and company standards. The Operations Manager leads field and office teams, coordinates resources, manages schedules and budgets, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership
  • Manage and oversee all pest control and fumigation operations.
  • Coordinate daily scheduling of technicians and fumigation crews.
  • Ensure jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and according to company standards.
  • Monitor service quality and implement improvements to increase productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop operational and safety procedures and maintain workflow efficiency.
Team Management
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate field technicians and support staff.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and development.
  • Ensure technicians maintain certifications and licensing requirements.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and safety.
Customer Service & Client Relations
  • Handle escalated customer concerns and service issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial and industrial clients.
  • Ensure high customer retention through quality service and communication.
  • Conduct site visits and quality assurance inspections as needed.
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to pesticide application and fumigation.
  • Maintain OSHA, EPA, and structural fumigation safety standards.
  • Ensure proper chemical handling, storage, transportation, and disposal procedures.
  • Conduct safety meetings, audits, and incident investigations.
Financial & Business Management
  • Monitor operational budgets, labor costs, inventory, and equipment expenses.
  • Track KPIs including productivity, revenue, callbacks, customer satisfaction, and technician performance.
  • Assist with forecasting, reporting, and strategic planning.
  • Support sales growth through operational support and customer retention initiatives.
Inventory & Equipment Oversight
  • Manage fleet vehicles, fumigation equipment, chemicals, and service tools.
  • Ensure inventory levels are maintained and equipment is properly serviced.
  • Coordinate purchasing and vendor relationships.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management, Ag Science, Environmental Science preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in pest control, fumigation, or related field operations.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience.
  • Knowledge of pest control methods, fumigation procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Applicable pest control/fumigation licenses and certifications.
Preferred
  • California Qualified Applicators License with categories A,M (state‑specific if applicable).
  • Experience managing large teams.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Scheduling and logistics coordination.
  • Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations.
  • Budgeting and operational reporting.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with service management software and Microsoft Office.
