Caltrans Maintenance Supervisor
Under the direction of a Caltrans Maintenance Area Superintendent, the Caltrans Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the activities of a crew engaged in highway landscape maintenance. This position is located in a metropolitan area with high volume multi-lane freeways as well as two lane mountain highways. The incumbent must possess a valid and Class "C" Driver's License. A pesticide qualified applicators certificate is also desirable.
Emergency response is required outside of employee's normal work hours.
Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the CALTRANS MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR exam. For those who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions.
