PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Manages overall daily operations of the Kings Beach Boys & Girls Clubhouse with the primary oversight for youth programs and service delivery, hiring, supervision, training and development of staff. Facilities management, community relations and membership administration.
Driven to find opportunities to elevate our services to community and experience offered through our products.
Acting to support other parts of the BGCNLT organization when needed and appropriate.
KEY ROLES (EssentialJob Responsibilities ):
Leadership
Establish Club programs, activities and services that prepare youth for success and that create a club environment that facilitates the achievement of the Formula For Impact Priority Outcomes.
Ensure a healthy and safe environment, ensuring facilities, equipment and supplies are maintained.
Trains and develops staff members ability to deliver high quality programs.
Managing payroll, time off requests and similar administrative tasks related to their subordinates.
Plan, develop, implement and evaluate the Club’s overall programs, services and activities to ensure they meet stated objectives and member needs and interests.
Compile regular reports reflecting all activities, attendance and participation.
Manage the Club’s financial resources assisting in the development of annual budgets. Control expenditures against budget.
Ensure administrative and operational systems are in place to maintain the operation of the physical properties and equipment of the Club, including use of facilities by outside groups. Ensure compliance with organization policies.
Recruit, manage and provide career development opportunities for club staff and volunteers. Plan and conduct regular staff meetings.
Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders and organizations.
Develop and maintain public relations to increase the visibility of programs, services and activities within the Club and the community.
Purchase or approve purchases of supplies and equipment
Work with staff on special events to carry out programs in all departments.
Exercise authority in problems relating to members; utilize guidance and discipline plan.
Oversees special programs &events (i.e. Harvest Festival, Family Nights, Awards Programs), and/or participate in the implementation of other club activities as necessary.
Required to drive the club van. This requires adhering to the BGCNLT Drug Testing & Driver Policies.
Internal:
Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer) to interpret and explain organizational mission, program objectives and standards, discuss issues, and provide/receive information. Has regular contact with parents and members as needed for discipline, advise and counsel.
External:
Maintain contact as needed with external community groups, schools, member's parents and others to assist in resolving problems and to publicize the club.
REQUIRED:
Four year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
A minimum of five years work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to recruit, train, supervise, and motivate staff.
Ability to deal effectively with members including discipline problems.
Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management.
Event Management skills.
Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents and community leaders.
Must be able todrive Club vehicles
Must be able to move freely about the club environment to supervise and monitor activities of staff and members, maintaining a safe environment for all.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Regularly required to use hands and fingers, feel, talk and hear.
May be required to walk, sit or stand for long periods of time.
