Sonoco - - Responsibilities:
Ensure the integrity and reliability of the plant's mechanical systems and equipment including conveyors, gearboxes, boilers, pumps, bearings rolls, piping, pulpers and other mechanical equipment;
Welding of all types of metals using stick or TIG methods;
Maintain mechanical equipment to meet regulatory codes of OSHA and CalOSHA policy;
Perform rigging activities, safety-related function and other miscellaneous mechanical functions;
Demonstrate safe and proficient use of shop tools (both hand and power)
