Manufacturing Engineer, Production Manager

We are seeking a Production Planner. You will be at the central point of the manufacturing floor responsible for orchestrating the flow of flight critical hardware from raw materials to test and final integration. This role is responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing production schedules to meet program/customer delivery requirements while optimizing production efficiency, capacity, and inventory levels. This role serves as a key interface between engineering, manufacturing, and procurement to ensure timely execution of all production orders and alignment with program objectives.
Having an aerospace manufacturing background is highly beneficial for this role.
In this role, you will help develop production processes in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement tactical production control plans and schedules that align with program objectives, ensuring timely delivery and efficient workflow management.
- Monitor and update schedules using various software from Microsoft Project to manufacturing executing system (MES).
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate with procurement and material control to prevent shortages.
- Identify and resolve production issues, parts shortages, tooling gaps, and resource bottlenecks before they disrupt the shop floor execution.
- Ensure all work orders and “travelers” maintain 100% data integrity for traceability.
- Create Line of Balance reports to ensure milestone success.
- Work together with core functions such as quality and manufacturing engineering to maintain company compliance and configuration control across work orders.
- Drive daily production meetings, translating data into actionable priorities for the different work centers.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in production control planning.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MES workflow.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience supporting MES implementation, configuration, or user support in a manufacturing environment.
- Required computer skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiar with MRP (Costpoint), PLM (Team Center).
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, process mapping, and continuous improvement.
- Background in aerospace startups, R&D, and advanced manufacturing environments.
- Level I ($66,500–$87,300):
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from accredited institution and 0–2 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Level II ($83,000–$109,000):
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from accredited institution and 2–5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
